In 2016 when we went to Disney, there was a little animated yeti that would hold up a sign that had names on it (It said Hi Alex! when I went by:) ). I asked my friends who just got back from WDW if they saw it and they said there was no screen in the EE queue. Was it removed or did they just miss it?

The signs you mentioned is within the turnbacks area just before loading..Unless they changed anything within the past few years with magic bands similar to what they do at the end of It's a Small World..

For the past couple of weeks, the screens on the Fast Pass side of the queue have been turned off. The screens on the standby side were operational.
