What is that large white concrete structure in the back of the Everest construction site? Is it something newly built for Everest? Or is an existing building for some other AK attraction?

If it is the shot from todays update and it is a smaller building with no walls currently just beams

That is brand new for Everest that whole area has been cleared all the way up to the howler monkeys

Looking at the pics...IMHO they perhaps intend to open the area before they open the actual ride...so all the buildings going up will perhaps be shops, and perhaps places to eat....the huge structure however...I think thats part of the ride it self...perhaps the queue......anyway its nice to see construction smoothly progressing....

The white steel buildings Im sure are shops and food vending, the large cement building is the ride. When your in Animal Kingdom go over to Tarzan rocks you can get a closer better view of the construction,I was there last week and got some great shots.

I may have no idea how far apart they are (I haven't seen it in real life since construction began), but is it possible the buildings shown in today's update could also serve as a portion of the queue? The reason I ask is because the concept art shows the train treking through land/jungle for a little bit before ever reaching the incline to "climb" the mountain. Its neat to see a new little village being built in addition to the huge mountain/ride.

Are there any plans in the works for another attraction using the same theme as the so-called "village" being built. Its nice to see they're going all out on this....

:)

I have seen parts of Everest backstage by the WDI trailer, I am not sure but I think the very large white concrete wall is actually part of Everest itself, but I could be way off.

This is all so exciting. I wonder if they're going through with the idea of calling the new town Rupnama or whatever. Is the current town Amanpur? I don't remember. It does seem like they're plowing away on the smaller buildings definitely hoping to open that earlier and have a preview area.

I cant wait!

- Nothing is planned in the near future to use the same village as Everest. But it is possible down the road.

- The big white walls are the base of the mountain.

and another question about the queue...when you say 'behind the buildings', do you mean directly behind the buildings, or just somewhere behind them. cause i thought Kali River was pretty much behind the buildings. i don't mean RIGHT behind them, but fairly close.

I'm not 100% on the queue's location. I believe it is behind the buildings on the east (away from Kali) side.
As far as it being indoors....according to my info, it will be similar to Safaris and Kali. Covered, with bits of show along the way, but not truly inside.
I will try to find out more details.
