I wonder if there are going to be any AAs in the basecamp(1st switchback), and if there the camp is going to be outside. Anyway, I am pretty sure of the basecamp because wasn't that the location of the trip in the press release?

I'm afraid I'm not following you.
The ride begins in a tea plantation.....
And as far as I know there is only one AA on the ride....Mr. Yeti, hisownself.

There may be a camp at the top of the mountain, but it would be destroyed by the yeti--no people = no animatronics. The entire Shangri-la temple, though, is still a mystery. I doubt it will be a plywood facade ;) Furthermore, using an LSM lifthill allows them a convenient ability to make the train stop on the lift hill, inside the Shangri-la building for a showscene, which would be revolutionary, to be sure--I've never heard of anyone trying that. It would also add to the mystery of the ride seeing trains entering the temple from the outside, but not leaving as soon as expected.

Did the press releases give any general background storyline? Anyone think there's going to be a real plot with a pre-show?

I wonder if guests will have to walk toward the mountain while in the line, or if the boarding station is close to the entrance. A a slow treck toward the mountain like that would be SO cool!!

You are on a journey to the Everest Base Camp when you run into twisted track and encounter a yeti.

Preshow, well I remember there being fighting for what to be done. Imagineers wanted a fully detailed line like in Kali and Indiana Jones while others in the company wanted to have a cheap TV que to save money.

Nobody really wanted a queue like Indy.
A queue like that type is totally wasted in the day of Fastpass.

What everyone wanted was a queue that was informative about the storyline of the ride, while still allowing single riders and Fastpass holders to get the full experience. The only way to do that is to have a nice queue, well themed, that has one single point from which to explain the ride.
Like Mission:Space for example.

I do, because there is little point in posting the exact same pictures twice. I know this site costs as much as a mortgage for Steve, so why waste the bandwidth on repeat threads?

Thanks for the negative feedback, though. You'll find it returned just as graciously.

Well the fact that you have a FP makes up for missing the preshow. Want to see the queue, get in the real line. Want to get on the ride fast, miss the queue. ;)
