i've been thinking about checking out the disney institute and wanted to see if anybody can tell me from firsthand experience what it's like.

the info on the wdw website makes the institue seem like a corporate retreat sort of thing. but i thought you could do things there as an individual, too.

i really don't want to find myself surrounded by a bunch of corporate clowns in matching golf shirts who act as if they own the place.

i stayed at a hotel in cancun once that was overrun by a group of dorky middle managers who were supposedly learning how to be better executive stooges by engaging in loud, rude and obnoxious behavior. it didn't ruin my stay, but these people annoyed the heck out of me.

Dopey, that's always been something I've wanted to do too but only getting down there once a year on average there just hasn't been enough time.

Sorry guys but it seems that the Disney Institute is for corporate groups only now. The courses are no longer open to the general public. :( You may however still stay on the grounds. This was very disappointing to me, I went to the institue once and really enjoyed it.
