I've done 4 auditions for WDW, they won't be holding any until Jan. as far as an open call, but check their audition web site (I think you can get there from
www.disneycareers.com). They're usually held on the 3rd Friday of every month (except December).
Get there VERY early to sign in, like 7 AM or so, b/c they go in the order of sign-in. Non-equity (non-professional) starts around 1 PM, but I suggest getting back around 11:30-12 and hanging out.
If you're planning to audition for Streetmo, having a comedic monologue (about 1 min) long, and a song (16 bars - sheet music only). If you're up for strictly acting then have 2 contrasting monologues, or 2 contrasting songs if you're going for a pure singing role. They could cut you off mid-song/speech; it's nothing personal...there are hundreds (yes, hundreds) of people they have to see. You can put your interests (for a specific role) on your resume, but don't limit yourself.
If they're interested and there's an opening they think you'd fit into, you'll get a call back at the end of the audition. If you don't, don't take it personally. I didn't get one but I know I did my best. It depends on what roles are open (which is determined by what contracts are expiring) and where they can visualize you. Oh, be sure to have a recent picture and (acting) resume. You don't need a professional headshot--but if you want one that looks semi-professional, take a B&W pic of yourself and make it into an 8x10, and staple your resume on the back. Unless you plan to take up acting as a career, don't waste the $ on professional pictures and copies.
The most important thing -- keep trying! Even if you don't get a call back the first time, go for another audition...and another! Remember to make eye contact and smile, you're on stage from the second you walk into the room until you leave, not just when you're performing. Break a leg!
