I just found out that Eric Tucker is the lead pyro designer for the new Wishes show! :sohappy:

Eric is probably the most famous and well respected pyrotechnician in the world, and has won many awards for his shows. He was also the lead pyro designer on Reflections of Earth at Epcot.

This show is going to be incredible! :D

Oh this is so kick ***

Well, Ive already go my seat reserved for the show. I was scouting out area today and since the protesters were still out there today I grabbed a spot near them, Ive made an agreement with them that I'll get them what they want, if they'll keep my spot reserved.

Unfortunatly, I wont keep my end of the bargin though.

See there were like 30-40 ducks sitting around over near the castle as normal. Well with PhilharMagic offically opening today, I took a shot of them and turned it into a storyline of "Ducks protest over mistreatment of Donald at PhilharMagic" you can see the photo over in my update page. So, I continued it a bit today and did the whole "bargin" thing with them today.

Sorry if this has been asked before but...

Where are the new launch sites? I've never seen Fantasy in the Sky so I don't know if the this too. But I did see the fireworks during last years Not-So-Scary-Halloween. We were in the center courtyard in front of the castle, and they started launching shells from all around us. So you were surrounded 360 degrees by fireworks going off. Very very very cool.

Did FitS do this? Or are those the new launch sites that Wishes has?

just wonderin.

The new launch sites for the pyro are on top of the Snow White's Scary Adventures and the Mickey's PhilharMagic bldgs. The old FITS site will still be used as well.

I'm really excited to hear Eric Tucker designed Wishes fireworks display. Illuminations is probably the most amazing firework show I've ever seen. The way the fireworks are not only timed perfectly to the score but the way that each style of firework reflects the music is incredible. I am looking forward to see his work with Wishes! Should be even better than I was originally hoping :)

Should be downright amazing with an increase in shells and the added launch points.

So, does this mean theyre gonna kick people out of Fantasyland during the show? Just wondering.

Yeah it will be closed off.

I mean you can sneak in there but you'll end up with a flaming hairdo in the end:hammer:

Only bad thing about this, is that they take away my viewing spot, which is over by Dumbo. But with the new way they have it set up, Im not gonna complain. Ill just find a new place to sit at, and claim it.

While "wishes" I think will be a bit harder to enjoy the way we would enjoy Illuminations at Epcot...I think that "wishes" will have a higher quality of immerse capability factor than Illuminations...it seems to me that they want you in the middle of all the action...kind of like the opposite of Illuminations.

My question is with all the trees and buildings and stuff will it be easy to see and really enjoy the show??? To me its always been one of all the downers at MK...well atleast compared to Epcot where you can pratically see the fireworks being shot from their "canons".

Disney has always been an expert at getting quality pyro shows at their parks...and I think "wishes" will be amazing...I think this show just on the ability it will have of immersing the crowd in all the action will rival Illuminations as the best show on WDW property.

Well for the most part, if your in the area right in front of the Castle, you shouldnt have that much trouble.

Now if you decide to sit somwhere on MSUSA...better just enjoy the music cause its all youll get out of the show.

I just saw Wishes tonight. Not from the MK, but from behind it, so I didn't get the full effect with music and location. But, I can say that it was a very nice show, and I cant wait to see it the way it was meant to be seen.
