They literally a opened a brand new attraction a few months ago with another opening in a few months. This is a fan site talking about concrete work, not PR from Disney. They aren’t marketing concrete.

This excites me because I'm weird. The salmon had its time, and this has a surprisingly big impact in terms of seeing old things in a new light.

It's just been a general feature of the entire rework of EPCOT that they've been pulling out the old salmon-colored pavement, perhaps because the reason for its original use isn't really relevant anymore. Regardless, World Showcase pavilions have been switching to a mixture of earth tones and grays while World Celebration and World Discovery have been utilizing contrasting tints of gray. I don't think they've actually made any progress in World Nature yet.

funny you ask. why yes there is. because bob the bean counter deems it better to use money to put down new flooring and get rid of perfectly good concrete than increase your magical experience. with the higher cost of everything to you of course. better flooring, higher cost, less magic.

Pretty sure I've read that it was to play with complementary colors in a way that made the greens of the grass seem even greener, but I think it was largely for the specific benefit of older photographic technologies even if there's obviously some non-photographic benefit as well.

They should of put down a rubberized flooring that was soft, our high School track has that it’s soft and springy., good on your feet..

He said “getting rid of perfectly good concrete,” meaning that this was unnecessary expense (and not maintenance).
In my opinion it also moves from colorful and complementary to bland and normal — not what we expect from the experimental prototype community…

I know everyone hates Bob but I’m sure he doesn’t have a clue about the type of pavement being laid let alone using it as a malicious way to somehow screw over guests.
