I'm just going to take a stab and make a few assumptions that you are currently at the park for Extra Magic Hour or something and you are wondering why you cannot access the World Showcase?

The World Showcase does not open until 11 a.m. while Future World opens at 9 a.m.

The World Showplace building? I think it's only open during special events now.

They do other things in there, like Food & Wine seminars, pin events, and a New Years Eve dinner. But it's not just open where you can wander in.

During the Millenium celebration they had other countries in there, but those were removed 14 years ago.

Maybe instead of crowding all of the walk ways with all the food booths they could open this up and put many NOT ALL of the booths in there. I think it would help with congestion.

Is this where the "Millennium Village" used to be? The building was open during the Millennium Celebration back in 1999-2001. Yes, It's closed to the public, but from what I know is that they open it to the public from time to time during the Food & Wine festival. Other than that - everytime I've been to Epcot, the building is closed and the gates leading up to the building are closed.

Kinda reminds me of the old metal tinkerer telling Charlie about the chocolate factory in the movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder version).
