I always remembered growing wishing DisneySea would be created for Walt Disney World, but as I grew older and older I realized that Epcot is essentially WDW's "DisneySea". I am not necessarily talking in regards to the quality but rather in the idea or concept of both parks. I really think at its core there are a lot of similarities. DisneySea has ports which represent cultural coasts, if you will. Epcot, on the other hand, has its cultural section. There seems to be some science-y or better discovery section at DisneySea. Likewise, at Epcot there is Future World.
In my opinion, I love the concepts of both parks and their differences. Hypothetically speaking, both parks during their respective prime (whenever you consider that to be) have a lot to offer. In my opinion, TDS just seemed to have an overall better execution than Epcot.
I really wish Epcot could take a bit from TDS's execution, while maintaining its own educational aspects and incorporating some of the more whimsical science fiction/cultural inspired rides of the park. Rides like Mt. Fuji and other great ideas that were proposed for the World Showcase come to mind.
I am not sure if I made any sense, or if anyone has thought this as well, but does anyone else see the EPCOT/Tokyo DisneySea parallel?
