Epcot stage is here to stay (dis hearted sigh)

With the completing of the railings around the Fountain of Nations, looks like we will never get rid of the stage now.

Like the new railings but wanted the stage gone. Looks like the stage just can't be destroyed.

Had hopes that for the 30th Anniversary EPCOT would be stageless on the FON.

Could use the WoL building if needed for shows etc. Why keep this ugly stage?

Next thing you know they will put more tarps, whirlygigs, LAL tombstones and more ugly stages on FON. (As if there wasn't enough of these already)(Actually should not of given them any ideas)

Where will it end? Well there was an idea of putting a wand on SSE but they wouldn't do that. Would they?? LOL

All of the computer controls for the fountain were relocated to the area under the stage several years back. Even if the stage were to suddenly be gone there would still need to be a ceiling covering this area as it sits slightly above ground level now You still wouldn't be able to go right up to the south side of the fountain as hoped.

Does anyone know why the high altitude jets can't be used due to the stage? I had heard this but never knew why. I couldn't spot any jets underneath the stage.

OK so they would need to build some sort of cover that could hold EPCOT symbols or something. I will go with that over the stage they have now.

Then maybe the Fountain of Nations would get all its water jets back. I would much rather have the stage gone with active jets and some nice little EPCOT Symbol on cover thanks very much.
