Epcot - My Project Gemini

I have decided to do my own version of the infamous Gemini project, but don't worry, it won't be anything like the cancelled project. Here is a temporary overview of Future World and no, it's very few changes so far, but they will be added...

http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/data/500/14603overview.jpg

The only really new thing so far is Into Space (project name only), but changes for The Land and Imagination exterior is also planned and my also do some changes to TLS and TT pavillions...

Oh, forgot to say that Innoventions will undergo exterior changes...

Now for a little update:

The Future World of Epcot will feature two brand new pavillions to have a total of 4 on each side. These two pavillions are (and remember the pictures are only of the basic outline of the structures):

- Space Pavillion:
http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/data/500/14603front.jpg
- Wheather Pavillion:
http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/data/500/14603perspective.jpg
http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/data/500/14603perspective_2.jpg

It's true that Mission: Space is in fact a Space Pavillion, but I got a brand new building and all. The current ride will be one of the attractions at the new Space Pavillion, which will be located the same place as Mission: Space. The Wheather Pavillion is going to be located between The Land and The Living Seas. I would love to hear a word or two about the building designs...

And now for the attractions. I'm not gonna reveal it all yet, as some is not 100%, but these are some of the new attractions coming to Epcot:

- E.C.O.
- 20.000 Leagues under the Sea (new type)
- Journey to the Center of the Earth (new type)
- New Horizons
And...
- Carousel of Progess (wtih a few twists)

So far it seems as though Future World will end up with 10-11 E-ticket rides, depending on how you define E-ticket, which I'm not 100% sure of (is SSE E-ticket?)

Those are some good 3D Models. I like the designs of the buildings becuase they are very unique. Also SSE is not considered an E-Ticket. Test track and Mission space are both E-tickets. An E-ticket attraction is usally a high thrill attraction.

Ehrm, ok...

There will be at least 7 E-ticket rides then...
But can you tell me if these rides are / were E-ticket:

Ellen's Energy Adventure
Horizons

Updated my project overview (see first post)...
Added the present lakes and redid some of the buildings (you should be able to see it's quite different already), and next I will be adding my own path system and some new lakes too...

http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/data/500/14603overview.jpg

Also redid my Wheather Pavillion a little. BTW I can't really find a good name for it, so any help would be appreciated!

BTW I would love some more comments on my work :)

I believe Horizons was an E-ticket but Ellen's wasn't. Horizons by todays standards though would not be an E-ticket.

An E-Ticket is more then a thrill ride. It's an immersive and highly themed experience that actually takes you into another world. Granted, Mission Space and Test Track would be considered E-Tickets, but so are attractions with excessive detail and loads of animatronics such as Pirates of the Carribean, Horizons, Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, the original Journey Into Imagination, and the old World of Motion ride.

K, I'm really loving those 3d pics! A new name huh? I suppose the weather pavillion is rather cliched now with all of the imagineering. I thought maybe 'FORCES OF NATURE' only to find out it was a film feat. Cuba Gooding Jr.

I'll check back, class has just started...

Forces of Nature, wow, that's excellent... it's the typical three words type with "of" in it! Thanks a bunch!

Oh and what about the space pavillion? Right now I'm just calling it "Into Space", but I dunno if that's appropriate. Would love some suggestions!

You're always welcome!

Space huh? Maybe something to contrast with 'The Land'. "The Cosmos" perhaps or "The outer Limits". Hope this helps!

None of those really clicked IMO... but keep 'em coming :)
Hehe :P

Hey, do you have a ride for your weather pavilion yet cause I had a nice idea for a ride utilizing spider man technology themed on chasing storms if you care to use it. I also thought a dark ride on weather's effect on earth past, present, and future would be the way to theme it to future world.

As for a name for the space pavilion I would go with something simple. These are just examples mind you, but something like "cosmic voyages" or "journey thru space". I guess knowing your intended attractions may help.

Aargh soz. my head hurts. Ive just had an hour of studying some Irish play about the English destruction of their language. It's really depressing! Every line is practically 'Die English men!'.
Anyway how about "The upper limits" "The World above" or "To infinity and beyond" if these aren't good either ill keep thinking, meanwhile I ought to ponder that stupid play...

martin and seeker, I would mostly use those names for attractions, not pavillions, if you follow. With Forces of Nature you strike something very precise, because it contains so much (forces of nature is practically another word for wheather, just with a more dramatic feel)... but keep 'em coming...

Martin --> Well, right now I'm expecting Soarin' to move to Forces of Nature instead of The Land (which will get an even better ride, hehe) and then also a ride called Stormriders will be at Forces of Nature (no, it won't be like the DisneySea ride). But let me hear your suggestion... I can always replace :)
Since you say it's sorta like the spiderman ride, then it could be what I want for stormriders as well...

Well, I don't really have specifics, but it definetly helps if you have ridden spiderman to see the potential in this ride system. The utilization of screens to replicate visual effects and tangable effects not to mention the diversity of movement of the vehicle make a potentially emersive experience. The storyline can be simular to twisters where they get as close as possible to collect data, but it would also have to incorporate a variety of potentially life threatning weather. The vehicle would be some sort of state of the art all terrain data collecting device (for story purposes of course) The queue could be in a weature center facility. Hurricanes would be a good route to go because they are not only common in the area but spawn flooding and tornadoes.

Oh, and you should come check out my Magic Kingdom thread and see what input you can add to the project. If you wanted to make me a map like the one you made that would be great cause I don't know how.

Yeah, I've tried Spiderman once and I think the ride system would fit Stormriders, or whatever, perfectly.

And about a map for your MK... well, first of all I had a satelite shot of Epcot to help me drawing the current state of the park, and besides I don't think I currently have time to do another map :)

Seeker --> I'll keep the Mission: Space ride, but do some changes to it and maybe change the name to something like "Mars Expedition" or something like that. And the other ride in the Space Pavillion will be a ride called New Horizons. The concept of the ride is sorta like Horizons, displaying our previous look at Tomorrow and our current, but with focus on space / astronomy. The ride system will be a different type than Horizons though...
