i don't want to be cynical, but no amount of fan outcry can convince tdo of something like this.

"a few thousand" is putting it optimistically, and fan outcry has been brushed off with far cheaper issues

Yeah I do understand that realistically it would probably be more like "tens of thousands of dollars". But if the money could be raised, what is the issue?

I'm sure you are right but can you give examples of other fan outcry issues that also have been petitioned for being brushed off?

for starters, mr. toad's wild ride had a massive amount of fan support to keep the ride in the magic kingdom. river country closed and a spokesman said it would reopen based on "guest demand," which it didn't despite lots of said demand. there are lots of other examples, typically re: orlando closing attractions and restaurants or refurbing pavilions. look at pleasure island - specifically adventurer's club.
i know nothing is impossible, but be realistic. you can't kickstart something like this, and you can't just slap a figure on it; there are figures based on maintenance and upkeep, etc. that you're not accounting for but tdo definitely is. i love the prisms a lot but let's not get ahead of ourselves
