Epcot parking

Is it just me or is the epcot parking lot poorly designed and ill equipped for peak food and wine crowds? 15 minutes from booth to spot today.

I don't want to be picky... but, could you explain your post? Was it longer then 15 minutes or less then 15 minutes? How long did it take?

Still less of a PITA than MK parking

Gosh, you folks have such bad attitudes. I find nothing a PITA in any of the parking lots. ** There a place to park your car and then they give you a ride to the park (basically). What is so awful about that. It is an wonderful part of any WDW visit and the one time that I stayed onsite, I missed that part of it terribly. To each his own, I guess.

I take that back. The parking lot at DHS can put your car a gazillion miles away from where the tram lets you off. That is no fun after a day on your feet.

Its awful because it takes nearly half an hour to get from the parking lot to the actual entrance. I much prefer DHS/DAK/EC where I can quickly walk right from my car inside the park.

Well, like I said someplace, everyone is in such a gigantic hurry to get no place that it is no wonder that people are always in a bad mood. To me that part of MK is as much an important part of the MK experience as the Castle is. It is the entrance and the "red carpet", so to speak. I don't need to be there instantly. The place will still be there if I get there in 5 minutes or in 30 minutes.

In the meantime, I have experience two or three attractions that people just look at as a burden stopping them from getting to the attractions. The trams start the trip for me (attraction #1) followed by either the Monorail (#2) or the Ferry (#3) any of those last longer then just about any of the attractions on the inside and the wait lines are a whole lot shorter. The ride on the water, on a bright clear day, the scenery is spectacular. The Poly, The Contemporary, The Grand Floridian. The wild life on and around the lagoon. The approach to the MK... all are part of the experience that are missed by those in such a hurry to get to MK that they let all that go by or make it sound like it is a pain instead of part of the experience. That's OK, by me. I've been going there for years, and I have seen everything that is there, at least once. I feel no need to be in a big rush. I'm on vacation... I spent years in the work force having to rush around to get everything done dictated by some artificial deadline. So, you go ahead and run past the roses so you can see the daisies quicker. I'll check out the roses.

It was fun the first time but now it just gets old. Patience is a virtue I don't have and unfortunately, the extended process of getting to the MK (while wonderfully crafted as you eloquently stated) just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

I guess I can understand that for some. I have made over 45 trips to WDW and I usually go to MK at least twice in my visits, so that would make approximately 90 visits via TTC. Haven't gotten tired of it yet and I hope I never do. To me, of all the Disney labeled parks, the WDW Magic Kingdom entrance from the parking lot is the most spectacular entrance of any of them.
