Epcot mystery building

Ok, on my last trip I was walking from Test Track to the Mexico Pavillion in Epcot. I took the paths the are close to both Test Track and Mexico (the bridges) and there was a brown building I passed along the way. It looked like an old resturant. What exactally is it or was it? I was kinda stumped and I forgot to ask CM and I just thought of it as I was looking at my photos of Epcot.

I guess the name of it would help--Odyssey Center. First Aid is also in the building. I once got dust from the Fireworks in my eye and had to go to first aid. After treating me security took me us back to our car through the back. I spent the night in an Orlando ER and had a patch on my eye for the rest of vacation. NOW that was a great 13th birthday!

I think you saw the old Odyssey restaurant. It's still in use, but is used for conventions and such and those people that use it enter it from backstage somewhere ;)

Fievel,
I'm not sure if you ever saw Ghostbusters 2 where Dan Akyrod gets lost in the painting of the guy "Vigo", but that was me just staring into the eyes of your avatar for a good minute or two.

They use it pretty exclusively during the Wine and Food Festival for the "sampling chef dinners"... I've been by it when it was open, and you could see in as people mingled from "food station" to "food station".

Looked like a nice place for a special event.

I guess this is kinda related. On one of my visits to Epcot we went by this beige building that was near Horizons, I think. It was a couple of years ago. The building was in the shape of an x and someone at the time said that it used to be the "House of Tomorrow" made entirely out of plastic. It was closed at the time and my question is, is it still there? If so, is this description right? what Blizz described is kinda like it, but I'm not sure this is it.

There was never a house of tomorrow in Epcot near Horizons. The only possiblity is that it was a temporary enclosure that Disney used at some point to sell merchandise or something. Of course, it could be The Oddesy. Either way, there was never a house of tomorrow in Epcot.
Disneyland had the house of tomorrow, and yes, it was completley made out of plastic.

What you saw is indeed the Odyssey Center. It houses First Aid, Public Restrooms and the Baby Care Station. Inside, it also has a little stage, dressing rooms for performers, a "show kitchen", and a sound and light booth.

It used to be a fast food restaurant but it is now used for special events during Food and Wine and Flower and Garden Festivals. It is also used for cast member´s trainings, conventions and it also has a banquet kitchen there used for catered events when needed. It has two entrances from the park next to the restrooms, but unless there is an event, the building is closed to the public.
