Epcot International Gateway Rope drop procedure

Is anyone familiar with the rope drop procedure at the Epcot International Gateway? How early are they opening the gates these days, and how far into the park do you go before you hit the rope?

While we're at it, anyone have a good sense of when they have been letting guests in/actually dropping the rope in all the parks recently? We are going Aug 1st and trying to get a sense of when to get to the parks.

I don’t remember exactly when we were let in (about 10:15), but they let you go as far as Canada and then rope drop is 10:45. Not sure how far you can go the other way. Seemed like people were stopped around Morocco.
