going to WDW next month and we have a 3-day park hopper pass. we’re doing one full day at MK, one full day at AK, and then splitting the third day between Epcot and HS. my question is: which park do you think is better to do first? we had originally chosen Epcot first, but now we’re unsure since there’s so much more to do there and we don’t know if we’ll feel rushed. what would you guys do?!

IMHO, I would do HS first thing in the morning, get the Fast-Passes for your favorites out of the way at HS, and then spend the rest of the day in Epcot.

i was thinking of getting a fast pass for just toy story mania (that way we can book epcot ones as soon as we’re done with that) and rope dropping tower of terror and RnR. would that be doable within the first hour or should i get one for tower as well?

Hmmmm. Good question. I think it depends on what "tier" Disney offers those on.
I think you will only be able to hit only one of those three and then the rest of the FPs that they will offer for HS would be a show of some type. But, I'm not exactly sure on that.

Are you wanting to do the new Slinky Dog Dash? That plus TSMM will be tier 1, ToT and RnR will be tier 2. And when are you going (thinking of EMH every morning over the summer)?

If you really aren't interested in SDD, then get TSMM for say 9:15/ 9:30 (9 am if going during EMH). Rope drop the others, ride TSMM and see what you can get for Epcot. You should manage to pick up TT or Soarin quite easily, plus whatever else you like from tier 2.

midway mania and RnR are tier 1, tower of terror is tier 2. so what i was thinking of doing was getting just a FP for midway and then rope dropping the other two. that way once i’m done with midway mania i can use my remaining two FP choices at epcot.

toy story land unfortunately won’t be open while we’re there :( but your plan about getting a FP for midway mania and then doing standby for the other two is exactly what i was thinking!

Once TSL opens, only the TSL rides are tier 1. And before that, TSMM isn't open for FP just now and no news whether it will be.

Edited after seeing your second reply.

So, with no TSMM FP available, I would rope drop TSMM and get an FP for ToT and maybe RnR instead. As soon as you scan in for the first one, get online and make one for Epcot - whichever of TT or Soarin you can get / want.

Keep in mind that your first three fastpasses have to be in the same park, no matter what time you book them. For example, if I just booked TSMM, if I wanted to book more, it would have to be within DHS (two tier 2s). Then, once you complete the first three, they can be in any park.

This means that your plan wouldn't work, as it wouldn't let you book a Fastpass at Epcot until you've used three at DHS. Therefore, I'd recommend you book a Fastpass for ToT, RNCC and Star Tours. That way, you can get these out of the way quickly. Only then can you book Fastpasses on the same day in a different park.

No , that is not correct.

Your pre-booked FPs must be in the same park.

But you can book only one or two if you prefer, and then on the actual day, you can book your remaining ones up to the three initial FPs as soon as you tap in to FP no. 1.

A little known but well used, tried and tested feature of the FP system since the 2016 changes.

There is a difference now between PRE-BOOKED and INITIAL fastpasses. You are allowed three initial fastpasses. If you pre-book them, you can make them only in one park. If you don't, then you can make the others in any park.

You could pre-book FoP, then tap in and book TT and TSMM if you wish. If you book the remaining two in a single park, you can only get one tier1 FP, so TT and SE.

Just don’t expect to get Tier 1 FP’s day of for Epcot. You may get Soarin but Frozen and Test Track will be near impossible.

Which night time show do you want to see and are you making any dining plans? We prefer dining options at Epcot and night shows as HS, if you time it right you can see both Fantasmic and Star Wars show at HS. Also like riding ToT at night. Last trip we had a late lunch in Epcot and caught the boat to HS for the evening.

Wow, thanks for the correction. It seems my info is outdated.
