EPCOT Future World West Ponds

Not sure if it was mention in this section or elsewhere. Was at EPCOT this past Sunday June 17, 2018.
I noticed that all of the ponds in Future World West around The Seas and The Land were drained and there were some with a sort of grid type patterns cleared through the rocks, sediment and corroded coins right down to the cement bottoms. I assume this is their normal maintenance cycle every year or two, give or take. Just wanted to post this here in case others saw this and wondered whats going on.

In this pic you can sort of make out a grid pattern where they cleaned away down the the concrete bottom.

This was the only pond to remain full and fictional. I would think that they's get the others back up and running before they drain this one. That way it would be down as long for refurb since it involved the backwards waterfall.
