EPCOT FastPass

Now that Mission: Space is in full force, are the Test Track Fastpasses lasting a little longer?

Hopefully when Soarin' opens it will be a lot easier to get Fastpasses since they should be spread out through guests more by then.

The only park I do the Fastpass shuffle is at EPCOT for Test Track before anything else, maybe with M:S I can pace myself a little more ?? Of course... I may need to be shuffling over to M:S now. How have Fastpasses been at M:S so far?

So far it has had a little bit of an impact, not a huge amount, since Test Track Fast Passes go like they people are getting a FREE turkey for Thanksgiving with it.

But both rides were 45 minutes wait alst weekend when I was there, so it dos help balance it out.

But remember, more people can ride Test Track than Mission Space (in a wimp factor way)

Mis. Space

To be honest, I think people saying things are scaring people away from Mission Space. People are saying this ride is extreme, very extreme. Well, I myself love rollercoasters, in fact there's not a rollercoaster I won't ride, but I have not yet ridden Mission Space, even as much as we go, because of lines when we were there.

To be honest though, I myself am even a little nervous about this ride now from what I've read. If it's not that extreme as people are making it, then this is a total injustice to Disney. That is why the ride is being ignored by guests though.

It is in no way EXTREME! Sure, it has intense parts but nothing rib breaking! Great ride, and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't get motion sickness!

I'd have to echo that M:S is not all that extreme. I am not a rider by nature, but really enjoyed M:S. (Granted, you'll not get me back on TOT ever again)

Everyone should at least give M:S a try and decide for themself. It is a wonderful attraction.

Good luck.....

So far this is what I am understanding...

The big difference will come when Soarin' opens because M:S is a lot more extreme and therefore not running out of Fastpasses as quickly as Test Track because there is not that high of a target guest going to EPCOT yet. I will go out on a limb and venture that this may change in time as EPCOT continues to evolve. So soarin' being a more Guest friendly ride (level of Test Track or less) would be the attraction that will really pull the Fastpass running out times down a bit on Test Track.

I think that makes sense... sometimes I have to go back and reread later to see.

Test Track was still crazy when I was there. Fastpasses were gone early and the line was long. I just use the Single Rider line all the time, because Stand By and Fastpass are not worth the waits.

Does the single rider line move much faster than StandBy? We dont wait more than 35 mins for Test Track, so will singles line be that mcuh faster, when standby is approaching 2 hours?

Last weekend, I was in thre big E celebrating my beloved Food and Wine festival, and my friends and I strolled up to M:S at about 8 or so and found a 20 minute wait. They said 20 minutes, but it felt more like 10-15. Meanwhile, TT was still doing a considerable amount of business.
I'm not sure how the Fast Pass situation is, but TT still seems to be doing a lot of business... maybe more than M:S... which, I don't quite understand.

Also consider the hourly capacities

If I remember correctly, TT doesn't exactly have a great hourly capacity. However, MS is a people eater, so it won't occupy people's time as much as TT will.

Also, TT is much more visually appealing that MS is. Granted, the MS building is gorgeous on the outside, but you really don't know what you're getting into. But when you see the TT cars zooming over the entrance area, you get excited and want to ride it. You can also hear the TT cars from many areas in the park.

It's as much of a psychological factor (ride impressions / advertising / presence) as it is a physical factor (ride capacity / type of ride)

Let's face it....Disney made a ride that doesn't appeal to everybody. Almost everybody can handle Test Track. It provides thrills, but is also easy to handle. Mission Space is a different beast altogether. While it's not real intense, the ride experience can make people nauseous. For example, my dad loves Test Track, but he had a hard time on his one and only time on Mission Space. He loved the launch and zero g moment that followed, but everything after that was a little too much for him (possibly due to motion sickness)
