EPCOT Center Refurbishment (Open Brainstorming)

As we all know, EPCOT Center (or Epcot, whatever you want to call it) is in grave danger of becoming the product of when Disneyland's 1998 Tomorrowland met Universal Studios Florida. Ugh, that'd look VERY ugly. So it's up to us to keep that from happening. To start, here are some point from which we can start off.

1. redo Spaceship Earth
2. redo/improve Universe of Energy
3. put someting in Wonders of Life
4. replace Mission: SPACE with a new version of Horizons (after all, M:S is just a stagnate Space Mountain)
5. OVERHAUL, NOT REDO Journey Into Imagination
6. new Soarin' movie
7. redo Nemo
8. add new countries
9. add attractions to extisting countries that don't have them

Umm...okay...I have never had any luck while visiting EPCOT, so I'm one of the few that just don't enjoy it that much. I can say a new Soarin' movie would be nice. What about Soarin': Over the East Coast. Fly past NYC, Baltimore, Myrtle Beach, Maine, the Atlantic, Cape Canaveral, Key West, and (of course) Disney World!

Yes, I have been on both versions of the attraction, and when you get down to the nitty gritty of it, they're identical.

One is a roller coaster the other is a centrifuge. They aren't even remotely close. They produce drastically different physical effects. The stories are only somewhat similar in that you are going into space, but M:S is much more immersive and intricate.

Additionally your plan to refurb EPCOT is just a list of the attractions with the word redo attached. Why do you even go to EPCOT if you hate all the attractions?

Enough about Mission: SPACE! It's just that Walt Disney World only needs one "thrilling trip through space" attraction. And I don't hate all the attractions.

By that logic they should only have one 3D movie so which goes Philharmagic or Muppets? Or they can only have one Lion King experience so do we keep Circle of Life or Festival of the Lion King? We can only have one ride that takes us into the world of Toy Story and makes it a game so is it Buzz or TSMM? There are four parks. There are bound to be a few attractions that touch on the same themes, but Space Mountain and M:S are entirely different rides. You are using a vague and silly argument just to justify getting rid of one of the best rides at WDW, just because you don't like it.

If anything Space Mountain is a tame limited technology version of M:S so if either should go the older less developed one should go. (BTW--I'm not saying Space Mountain should go. I'm just taking your argument to it's logical conclusion.)

You claim to not hate the attractions at EPCOT, but your original post suggests redoing all of the big ticket items except TT. Why do you want to redo them if you don't dislike them. I especially do not understand your objection to Soarin'. You have mentioned changing the film on multiple threads. Why? It is beautiful photography highlighting the amazing sites of one of the most picturesque places in North America. Why change it?
