Epcot Adds EMH Days

Epcot has added EMH days:

7/31 will be a morning EMH at Epcot
8/1 and 8/8 will be evening EMH at Epcot

So the schedule for those two weeks:

(7/31)(8/7) Sun - Epcot Morning. MGM Night

(8/1)(8/8) Mon - Magic Kingdom Night AND Epcot Night

(8/2)(8/9) Tue - MGM Morning. AK Night.

(8/3)(8/10) Wed - MK Morning.

(8/4)(8/11) Thu - Epcot Night.

(8/5)(8/12) Fri - MK Night.

(8/6)(8/13) Sat - AK Morning.

Now for a bit of speculation on my part....

It really seems like they're trying various ways of spreading people around to keep the perk a "perk."

Putting MK against Epcot for a night EMH is essentially asking the crowd to choose one or the other, and thus maybe split it down the middle making both more enjoyable. I bet more will goto MK than Epcot, but the fact that they're willing to leverage one against the other speaks for the success Epcot has seen since Soarin' opened.

Also, adding so much to Epcot's EMH nights since they started. Practically the entire park is open at night until midnight.

I find is fascinating how the logistics work and how everything is tweaked, from adding new rides, removing old ones, trying new combinations, new days, adding shows like Fantasmic and parades like Spectromagic, and how it all comes out in the end.

And Epcot? Good Idea, it spreads out people from one park, so Lines are less.

Too bad it's only one week.

FINALLY! If they could do this three times a week, once with MK & Epcot, once with MGM & Epcot, and once with MGM & MK. AK can handle the crowds on it's own very well.

It would make more sense to have EMH evening hours with two parks a permanent thing for the summer peak periods - by spreading the guests between two parks at night the queue times should be halved
