Epcot Additions?

Any news regarding the rumors of adding new country pavilions to World Showcase in Epcot? I heard about a Switzerland pavilion with some kind of roller coaster around the alps, I also heard of a Canada pavilion. Personally, I'd like to see an Egypt addition.

This would probably better off in the rumours forum. If you look back at the older threads in rumours you may be able to find some info on World Showcase rumours... I recall the subject being talked about quite a few months ago.

...and there is already a Canada pavillion. i hope to god you didnt miss it when you visited Epcot b/c it's beautiful!

Rumors have it that a Switz mountain (matterhorn) may be coming to Epcot....no one knows for sure yet tho...

It is rumoured that The Government of Canada is talking with Disney about having a new film in the pavillion. Our Government dosent like the one we have now because is dated and stereotypical. Believe it or not, there is more then just snow up here:hammer:

Ohh man, Switzerland would be so sweet!

World Showcase really needs something to the right of the American Adventure, I mean, after walking around the park for an entire morning, I think the last thing anybody needs is those dang lean rails. At least that's how my friends and I felt this last trip.

Switzerland should go there, of course the sheer time period between when it was being developed and now is not very promising, still they say in the Imagineering book, WDI never throws anything away.

The only thing thta may keep it from getting the green light is the current popularity of the "Soarin over Cali" attraction at DCA...this has raised the eyebrows of more than a few, and could start the ball rolling on a "soarin over *insert your country of choice here*"

Soarin Should go in an existing country, at least that's my thought. There are too many countries without attractions, of course it would still be cool in a new country.

I don't think I'd care if it were Soarin' or Matterhorn (although I'd prefer both)...World Showcase just needs something new...it's been SO LONG--this area has been extremely deprived....hasn't it been 12 years since there was a new country (not counting the crappy Millennium Village...ewww)?

I think many important countries need to be added: Australia is one of the ones I think needs to be there quick to represent the Oceania continent. In the middle 90's a strong rumor spread saying that Spain was about to enter the World Showcase but never did, Israel was another hard candidate that fought to be there but never could.
