Not the most exciting thing in the world, but I just got back in town and went to Disney Springs, and to my surprise, crews were doing work on the Disney Springs bus lane (on Buena Vista Drive) in the Westbound direction. The entire length of the Westbound bus lane was closed due to the construction, though the Eastbound lane (going to Disney Springs) was still open. While the construction did not close the leftmost lane of the regular road, the crews were exceptionally close to the open roadway and all cars moved over for the crew. I don’t know how big of an impact on traffic the bus lane closure will have, but it felt fairly significant when I drove it.
The work being done was in the bridge portion of the roadway, near the storm drain, where crews were cutting into the cement.
