Hi, Here from Spain.

We will go to WDW from the 1 to the 8 (March) :sohappy:

Epcot Future World open at 9 am.
Epcot World Showcase open at 11 am.
It's possible to enter Epcot thru International Gateway from Boardwalk.

Well, and this is the question:
Can we access to Epcot thru International Gateway at 9 am.?

Thank you

I believe that you can do this. On one of my vacations to the "World" I stayed at the Yacht Club. When you go to the international gateway you get to walk through the world showcase, but they have it fenced up. It brings you to the end of future world.

Thank you very much.

By the way:

a) What walking distance has from Boardwalk to Epcot?

b) What walking distance has from Boardwalk to MGM?

c) It is possible to accede directly from MGM to Epcot without go through Boardwalk?

Thanks, again.

walkin from boardwalk to mgm or epcot isnt a long walk at all.. it is much much faster than those boats that stop everywhere.. it took me about 10 mins to walk from boardwalk to mgm.. and even shorter to walk to epcot..

It depends on who is walking. If you've got a family, you might be better off taking the boats. If you're staying at the Boardwalk, Epcot is the next stop.

The boats run: MGM, Swan and Dolphin, Yacht and Beach, Boardwalk, International Gateway (Epcot).

Woohoo! Another Spanish speaker! :animwink: Hola! Bienvenido! :)

Yes, you can enter from IG, but the pavillions will be closed and most likely, being cleaned. It´s a very nice walk from the Boardwalk, not too long, but if you have kids, they might get tired faster after walking that and then to Future World. It´s certainly less crowded if you enter through IG and you get to see an empty World Showcase which is a good chance of pictures!

Buen viaje!

BW to International Gateway

¡Hola, Hansoloq!

The walking time from the Boardwalk resort to the International Gateway is approximately 10 minutes. The walk to MGM from BW is a bit longer so take the boat; you'll be walking all day!

You will be able to enter into Epcot through the International Gateway and, as others have mentioned, you will be directed to FW along the pathway that leads to the UK and Canada pavilions. This is an *excellent* time to take photographs of World Showcase.

¡Tenga un viaje magnífico!

Muchas gracias por la bienvenida y saludos

Well, the boat is very slow, then I prefer go walking, but anybody know if is possible go from MGM to Epcot directly, walking.

I think that when MGM close go to Epcot and to see Illuminations, without go to Boardwalk.

In spanish:
"Es posible ir desde MGM a Epcot sin pasar por Boardwalk?, quiero ir al cierre de MGM para ver Illuminations y no dar toda la vuelta al lago. Gracias"

The walking path from MGM to Epcot follows a similar path as the boat does. I've never walked it, but it seems that you would have to go by Yacht and Beach, Swan and Dolphin, and part of the Boardwalk, although I don't know exactly where.

I wouldn´t walk all the way from MGM to Epcot... If that was all you were doing that day, then I would take a romantic walk with all the time in the world and a very leisured pace... but after a day in the parks, NO WAY! :animwink: It´s too long for me...

Keep in mind you may enter through the International Gateway up to 30 minutes prior to Future Worlds official opening time.

¡Hola, Hansoloq!

As turkey leg boy indicated, the path from Epcot to MGM winds through the International Gateway, by and then around the Boardwalk Inn/Villas. Note the path follows the same pattern as the boats do; you'll wind up entering in between the waterway and the parking lot at MGM.

My guess is that it's a half-hour walk.
Mi adivinación es será una caminata de media hora.

Hey!
um.... yah , you can. Epcot is so cool I think. It is themed to the future and that is what it so cool about. When I think of Disney World, that is one of the things that come to mind!

The walk from MGM to Epcot is less than 20 minutes at a nomal pace. It does not take all day and is probably less than a third of the distance you normally walk in a themepark in one day. It is a nice walk along water with no traffic and it is very peaceful. It is also well lit for night time walks.

Thanks to everybody. Gracias !

And now I have another doubt

The Eocot operation time is:
9 am to 7 pm Future World
11 am to 9 pm World Showcase

Then the Future World atractions are closed at 7 pm ?
:veryconfu

Gracias y nos vemos en Orlando !!!

Test Track, the Imagination pavillion, Spaceship Earth, and possibly more stay open until 9 pm.

A few of the more popular Future World attractions are open until 9.

Off the top of my head (oops--sorry for the idiom there). The first ones that I think of are

Spaceship Earth (if it's still running when you are there)
Test Track
Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Mission: Space (if it's finished when you are there)

Basically the "big" stuff from Future World. The specific attractions will be listed on the park map. (which is available in Spanish)
