I bought the game on release day. I can only say one thing: Amazing!! The graphics are stunningly cool the gameplay is really good. It seems a bit too easy at first buy when you get to play against agents, you understand why figting is so easy. The hacking system is really really awesome if you understand DOS a little bit. Lemme know what you guys think!

I have it - but haven't gotten a chance to play it yet since I'm in LA (covering E3 for my site), and my Xbox is back in Baton Rouge.

I played it on the show floor a little, it's really cool. The mechanics seem a little loose though. The Driving segments are terrible though - your car drives like it's made from plastic, way to light and tends to spin from even the slightest touch.

As for the hacking - I had it explained to me, but haven't tried it yet. I was told something cool happens if you LOGIN as COWBOYCURTIS instead of USER.

Do you REALLY like the game? I've heard some absolutely HORRIBLE things about the gameplay, graphics, even the sound! I want to make absolutely sure I'm not buying something I'm not going to like.

I'm really enjoying it. If you're unsure about it, you could always rent it first. I don't trust what people say though - especially if it's on the internet becuase there a quite a few people who will rake the game over the coals and say nothing good about it, but haven't played it.

Video game reviews are 9 times out of 10 biased. Sad as it sounds. A lot of people are against certain systems and game types..and will have that mindset even before they sit down and start typing out a review.

I have to wait for my birthday (June 7th) but that's okay. I have school right now and I won't have free time, or something close to free time, until school ends, which is June 6th.

Anyway, I have seen the trailer for The Matrix Revolutions at the end, though, and I have to admit it was better then the one in theaters.

On the X-Box:

The sound is awesome, the graphics are OK (although the bullett-time effect is pretty cool), but nothing spectacular. The controls, and the camera angles, are horrendous.

The being said, it's neat to see how some of the loose plot points from the movie are tied up in the game.

The game itself is pretty ugly, if you really analyze it. But it is a great game, and some of the story points are really important and relevant for the overall plot of the trilogy. Like the crazy subway guy, I bet he's an alter-ego of the Architect. ;)

Now, in the Hacking Mode, what do you do with the DECODE command? I managed to decode some codes, but what do I do with them next?

And you can see how the money was spent with the actors for voicing and the actual film scenes, and where they could spend more on the game itself. The multiplayer levels are so poorly done!

You don't even know the half of how much moeny was spent on this game :) Atari got completely waxed on the deal and in order to just break even they have to sell 4 million copies.

You know it's a bad game if the cheating method is cooler than the actual gameplay. The cutscenes were pretty good (helped explain more of Matrix Reloaded), but the overall gameplay was just too repetitive. It's practically the same thing for each level. You just run around, do some flips in bullet time, disarm the bad guys, and then kill them. You get to do it again for the next level, and the next one, and the next one, etc. Sure it's fun beating up the bad guys, but once you master the basic controls there's not much left to the game. The driving part was incredibly bad, and the part where you control the hovercraft was worse. What were they thinking? Didn't they have anybody test the game before it was released? This game had so much potential and it was all flushed down the drain.

If you guys like bullet time then just stick with Max Payne. It was out well before this game, it's solid all the way through, and it doesn't cost much (< $25) for a new copy. The new Kung Fu mod makes this game even better! It's well worth the free download.

Sorry if my review is a bit harsh, but after a game is hyped that much one expects it to be very good.

Wait, I rented it a while ago, and didn't have any idea what the hacking system was all about.
Could someone explain it for me, for my hair is turning blonde :lookaroun
