Oh nuts. I'd be delighted if you could whip up something about Lord of the Flies - EVERY teenager MUST read that cover to cover!

As for this:  , you'll only get things wet - be it paper, or ideas!

Take it from Disney: "Sometimes castles fall to the ground, but that's where four leaf clovers are found!"

Be READY to CHALLENGE yourself...You can do it! :) :sohappy:

Lord of the Flies isnt that bad, havent read it yet, I think thats next year for me. It shows how people go back to animal instincts to survive. Whats worse is last year I did an article on Oedipus Rex, that is pretty sick.

Do you know why its called Lord of the Flies?? Cause of all the flies buzzing around the corpse of an over hyped story. I’m sorry but if teachers have got to spend time explaining all the hidden subtleties of the plot and text then surely the author has missed their target audience. I thought it was keeech 23 years ago and I still think its keech now:)

When I did my English you could choose between a recognised text or a book of your own choice. I chose a book about a revolution for an independent Scotland. The thing is if you chose a book of your own the exam marker had to then read that book.:D

I would like to point out that despite my chronic misspelling that I did actually pass.

It's more like the effects of our instinct that we our born with, that, when let alone and having our only strength as each other, we ulitimately create a DISTOPIA...not survival.

It's very alarming, and to me, VERY true. It relates to the entire world around me...and people really need to read it ASAP...and I don't mean CliffsNotes!

Hey I used Cliffs Notes for Oedipus Rex, because it was semi-long, but it was originally written in greek so the translation isnt very good. Plus I slacked off and ended up writing the paper the day before it was do.

Why did you read the CliffsNotes? To get a good grade? Believe me, the knowledge you learn from reading and the set of values and priorities you place on yourself will get you a lot more than good grades could EVER give you. :)

Wait... is your paper about Lord of the Rings or Lord of the Flies? In your original post it says Rings...but everyone else is talking about Flies... hmm...

Anyway, yeah don't use Cliffnotes for anything, especially for Shakesphere! I resent that, being Ophelia and all! <---from Hamlet if you haven't read it.

Just finished working on the Jubilee Book Report. Have to work on the Research Paper on the impact of inventions (the light bulb, the telephone, the phonograph, and the airplane) in the 1800's and beyond. I also have to work on a creative writing assignment based on the Civil War.
