Engineering Question

I think I already know the answer, but figured I would ask incase I was wrong. Do you think it's possible for a Careerstart participant to participate in the Engineering class? I already have had two years work experience as a mechanical engineer [the best thing about going to a technical high school] and four years of educational training on drafting. I know AutoCAD (2004-2007), Solidworks, Inventor, and ProEngineering for software, so I don't think I will have a lot of catching up to do. Do you think I should just call and ask, or just assume they will say no?

You'll want to email the college program educational operations office at wdw.disney.education.ops@disney.com, or call them at 407-827-1243. Going by the exacting rules for the course, I'd have to stand on the side of 'probably not', but they may make an exception for someone with relevant experience. Check directly with them.

Just wanted to follow up on this thread, because I finally got a response. I actually emailed them twice, the first time I never got a response back and I decided to try it again yesterday. and YAY! They are going to let me take the classes because of my experience out in the industry, all I need to do is provide my transcript from high school [to prove I went to a technical high school and majored in CADD] and proof that I worked at Goodrich as a Mechanical Engineer and at Technipower LLC. as a drafter.
Thank you so much Chris, and I agree if it wasn't for my experience they probably wouldn't of even considered allowing me to take it.
