I have a question I know can't be answered 100% this soon, but just for a general idea, historically, how long is the list of attractions shut down for refurb in the period of say the next 2 weeks? I'm planning a trip for next year for this time of the year (my birthday), but I'm seeing such a HUGE list of closures, I'm second guessing my choice! I will be going with 3 people who have never been to the world, so I'm not sure I want that to be their first taste of it.... I realize it's the off season, so some closures will be inevitable, but is it always this many?

Not exactly..I go around my birthday (this saturday yay!) and last year the only big ride that was closed at MK was Space Mountain as eveything else was open..This is why I decided to wait to go in January since many refurbed rides will then be open and wouldn't miss that opportunity to get a chance to ride them

There is no way to know what will be getting refurbed and when. They try to time it during the slower periods to minimize impact to guests. There are a only a few closures on my trip in less than 2 weeks: IASW, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, One Man's Dream, and Star Tours. That is a very small and non-restrictive list.
