EMH Question

I just wanted to ask a basic question about EMH.

For some reason I have never come across these before in any of my trips (on or off site) ... this year we are staying offsite and so I realise we will not be able to use the them but wondered how they work ... will we be expected to leave the park completely or will we be able to browse the shops etc just not participate in attractions/rides? Part of what I love about nights in the parks is wandering down Main St after closing and window shopping in the Emporium - I will be really dissapointed if I can't do this because it happens to be a EMH night.

Also, when it is a EMH morning - do the park opening ceremonies happen before the EMH? and how do they manage this ... do offsite guests get kept outside the turnstyles until official opening? - this probably won't affect us as we have never yet been able to get to the parks for opening- don;t think that will change this year!!

I know this has probably been posted numerous times but I did a quick search and couldn't find anything..... Thanks for any info x

I know that in the evening EMH they hand out braclets if you have a valid hotel key card thingy so you will see ques for people waiting for these, but as far as i could see they where just to get you on the rides & you could stay in the park & shop etc like everyone else until it closed. I dont mean to be cynical but Disney would rather have your money than let you go early

Evening EMHs just restrict the attractions to guests who stay onsite and have collected a wristband - offsite guests may remain in the parks and spend their $$ in the shops and restaurants

Morning EMHs - I'm pretty sure that the park opening ceremony will be for EMH guests - offsite guests are kept at the turnstiles until the official opening time (if you're staying offsite I would recommend avoiding a morning EMH park)
