EMH days-- The busiest?

I see how taking advantage of EMHs are great, for maybe the first hour, but are those days usually the busiest? It would seem to me that those days would pack the crowds in and on the days before and after might be a little lighter because everyone else is trying to take advantage of EMHs. Yes? No?

That is a good question. I can't say I have seen heavier crowds on EMH days, but we usually go in the off season. We plan our days based on undercover tourists crowd forecaster and whether the park will have extended hours or not.

It has long been the belief that EMH days tend to the busiest for each part, but more so if it's evening EMH. Resort guests without Park Hoppers tend to visit the park that has evening EMH, since that's the only way to take advantage of it.

If you have Park Hoppers, you'll benefit from morning EMH at the Magic Kingdom, because you can knock out several Fantasyland attractions in an hour, which would normally take several hours. Then leave and go somewhere else.

We tend to go to park that had the EMH the prior day. With hoppers we will at time head over to the park that has the EMH, but so do lots of other guests. The morning EMH can be good if you arrive at opening, then hop in the afternoon to a less crowded park.

Some people do hold the train of thought that EMH days are busier. You get the resort crowd who comes to the park specifically for EMH in the AM, and then the normal crowd that shows up at that park that day even if there was no EMH. But then one has to consider that those who feel that to be the case, would avoid the park on those days, causing a smaller crowd than would otherwise be there. Resulting in a crowd that is the same size as if there was no EMH. Or something like that.
