Electrical Water Pageant - Time to Update?

One of the little nice add-on attractions for MK-resort area guests is the nightly Electrical Water Pageant. I can't help but notice, however, that it really hasn't changed much (or at all) for some time now. Isn't it time they kind of spruced it up a bit with some different animations? They don't even necessarily need to change the music for it (it's one of those things I can't just think about and instantly hear that music), but I'm sure there are more things they can do besides the Little Mermaid stuff and the dragon and so forth.

Sshhhhh.... don't attract attention to the Electrical Water Pageant. I don't think the management regime at TDO even knows it exists. There is no way they would still fund the bill for the gas and staff it requires to float that thing out each night.

Keep it just the way it is and be thankful.

Of course, an upcharge party for it could always be possible. Pay $60 and you can come pet the sea dragon.

Well, this is already the fourth update to the parade. The latest being 1996 when they modified it to add Little Mermaid elements. After 18 years it might be time but all they really have are Nemo characters which are getting a bit old. As long as they updated it like in the part to keep the original 70's feel it would be ok.

I've enjoyed the electrical Water pageant every time Ive seen it, but have never thought much of it needing an upgrade, probably cause it doesnt take long to watch and in my mind hasnt gotten old. I did say to DW last time we watched however, wouldnt it be nice if they could blow off a couple of fireworks at the patriotic ending.

I would not change a thing on it. It is a classic. Most veteran Disney fans know about it. The one timer or every five year family doesn't even know about it. I like that. It's like my little slice of nostalgia. I've been watching it since the 90's. We watched it from the beach at VWL in July and people walking by were baffled by what it was. It's a hidden gem. My kid love it, too. :)

Same happened to us last time we stayed at VWL. We were watching the outdoor movies at the beach area and they paused the movies as the water pageant came by. Overheard several guest commenting about " What is this?, Is this something new?, Must be something they do here at the Wilderness a Lodge?," etc...we just smiled and enjoyed it for about the hundredth time.

whispered:"Don't tell TDO but cast members go out and siphon gas from cars in management's parking lot for the boats.....heard it from a bus driver....shhh";)
