Election Day 2005??

Hi All! I'm getting ready to plan our annual trek to Disney for November, 2005. I'm from New Jersey, so I am looking to go when the NJEA Teacher's convention takes place. A teacher friend of mine says that the convention is always the Thurs & Fri. of Election week. Well, I have 4 different calendars for 2005, and two of them say Election Day is Nov. 1st, the other two say it is Nov. 8th. My husband insists Election Day is the first Tues. of Nov. (1st), but my Dad says Nov. 8th is the day according to his sources....anyone have any idea who's correct?? :hammer:

The rule is that election day is the first Tuesday AFTER the first Monday. In other words, if Tuesday is the first day of the month, you'll have to wait until you have a Monday, then go for the first Tuesday after that. Looking ahead to 2005, election day would be November 8th (at least that's what my Outlook calendar shows).
