Eisner....OUT!

This might be a case of be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Lot of Eisner haters that just wanted to get rid of him with no thought of who will replace him. Not who might replace him, Who will replace him.

I guess it's not a HUGE deal that Eisner's going/gone. He's groomed his replacement and the board to his ideas. I would be massively surprised (yet overjoyed) if Iger came out swinging in September.

This is me giving him the benefit of the doubt  ...nope I still don't like him. :brick:  In all seriousness I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Harvey Weinstein from Miramax likes him and has issued a press release in support of Iger. But I want to see what happens with Steve Jobs and Pixar. That will be the litmus test for me; can he bring Pixar back into the fold?

I agree bringing Pixar back would be a huge test for me. If he can do it he will then definetly be out of Eisner's shadow

Is that why hes just siad that Disney and Miramax have grown apart and he hopes their breakup can be concluded amicably?

Note, Disney is still retaining the Miramax name no matter what.

But besides that I consider Iger a puppet. Any talks he makes right now is only to gain the confidence of the shareholders, afterwards it will still be Eisner controlling.
