EE open between now and Thurs 2/2???

Here from MA. It was closed Mon 1/30, I asked an unfriendly cm about
soft openings at the EE gate and she said there would be none this week.
Hope it's not true. I asked when they would be open for soft openings
and she said, "all I can tell you is that it opens April 7th." Does anyone
know more?? I need to ride that ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!

In defense of the cast member he/she more than likely did not know. From what I gather (not a CM myself) Disney tells operational cast very little. From what I have heard EE will be shut down for a week possibly more for tweaking, fixing etc. After that it will be open sporadically. I have heard that it will be open to resort guests only sometime in early to mid February.

Are you calling the CM unfriendly simply because they didn't know when the attraction would be doing soft openings? He/she honestly has no way of knowing, and told you "all I can tell you is that it opens April 7th" because that really is all they can tell you. Anything else might lead to a broken promise, which in-turn would lead to an even more upset guest.

As far as soft-openings go, all I have heard was "from mid February on" and also just the other day I heard a rumor pointing to some soft openings this weekend.

I have a window of opportunity to go to AK next Tuesday (2/7), how good are the chances that Everest will be open?

I will be leaving for Disney on Feb 5th. I sent an email on Disney's request form and was told they would be hosting previews for Everest beginning Feb. 6th but of course this is always subject to change. Emails were sent to resort guests who will be in Disney between then and March I believe so theres a good chance it will be open periodically. I was also told to be sure to have my resort pass with me when attempting to ride.
