Editor error

For some reason all the options w/ the text editor (attachments, links, smiles, etc.) aren't working when I try to post. The smiles button is greyed out and I get a (/) icon when I try to post a link. I also can't change the font style or color.

Sounds like you have "javascript" disabled in your browser.

In firefox... click tools/options/content tab... make sure 'enable javascript' is checked.

In IE... Tools/internet options/security tab... you may have a button for 'custom level'... if so, click it. scroll down the list and look for 'active scripting'. make sure it's enabled.

If you need more help, just do a google search like ... enable javascript in [insert browser name]

Works fine in Firefox, surprise. As usual, IE and WDWMagic have issues. :brick:

LOL that shouldnt be the case. WDWMAGIC is written specifically for Internet Explorer. There must be an issue with your IE build. Can you try deleting all of your temporary files in IE? Its possible you have a mixed batch of different versions of parts of the editor. Let me know how you go. Thanks :)

Steve,
I e-mailed you a screenshot w/ some error info. Did you receive it?

Yep got that thanks. Did the deletion of temp internet files have any impact?

I think I clear out both.

In Internet Explorer, go to TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, DELETE FILES..DELETE ALL OFFLINE CONTENT.

Let me know how you get on after doing that.

Well it was working for a few days---now it's back to not working...using Firefox instead for WDWMagic. Oh well.

I think you have a problem there on that PC, it certainly isnt behaving normally. It will probably only be fixable with a resinstallation of Windows.

It works most of the time if I clear my temp files. Turns out a lot of people have the Firefox issue where it crashes. Oh well, I still can post :brick:
