ECV rental agencies

Hi all,

We will be renting an ECV for my MIL this trip and I was wondering if you had feedback re: the various companies you can rent from offsite. Although you can rent in park, we might go offsite so that we'll have it all day (for trips to DTD or other resorts, etc.). Here are some that I found online but wanted to get some feedback re: other people's experiences with these companies.

Looking for any advice I can get! Thanks!

I don't have any experience with renting ECV's.

You might find some helpful information at wdwig.com under "planning".

Sorry I can't be more helpful.........

I'm not sure about it either, but you may want to PM or e-mail Kingdom Konsultant. She's a travel agent, and may know about those kinds of rentals.

i just called disney this week to request advance copies of their guidebooks for guests with disabilities. the woman i spoke with surprised me by very strongly recommending an outside source for an ecv, rather than relying upon the availability of the disney ones. She even provided me with 3 names and numbers of rental locations that will all deliver to the resort hotels! if disney will recommend them, that's good enough for me! my mother in law will be reserving one this week, although i'm not sure which one she decided on.

anyway - the 3 that were recommended are:

Care Medical: http://www.caremedicalequipment.com/

Walker Mobility: 1-888-726-6837 www.walkermobility.com

and the last one - i'm not sure if she said life air or light air, but it was something along those lines - their number is 800-417-9496.

also - a helpful hint that i never would have thought of - she suggested asking each restaurant that you attend for lunch/dinner to charge the scooter for you - she said every restaurant is setup to provide this service, all you have to do is ask!

good luck!

ps - one last thing - disney charges $30 per day, plus a $10 deposit - care medical and walker mobility seemed to be the same price and that includes delivery.

The numbers that MWITKUS posted are the same ones that I use for ECV rentals for clients. They are all very good companies. Good luck.
