ECV Personalization Tips

I will be traveling with an ECV this trip to WDW. We are renting when we get there. I have seen the stroller ghettos and anticipate needing to leave the ECV in one from time to time. (I'll be with my Dad--he can walk, just not with the stamina required at WDW)

So I began thinking of ways to make our rented ECV stand out. The easiest thing IMHO, would be to put a t-shirt over the back of the seat. I would not use a $40 Disney shirt for fear of it being stolen.
I was considering a plain $3 shirt from Michael's/Hobby Lobby in a bright color--yellow (of course!) or lime green.
Thoughts? What size do you think--Adult S??

Would love any ideas and encouragement, and especially photos of your bedazzled ECVs.

USUALLY, the customer's name is on the ECV, so while someone not paying attention could always get on the wrong ECV, if you keep the keys on your person and not in the ECV, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure it happens quite often, but I have never had a problem when I rented one. I now own my own and don't have that problem.

ha ha you would think that name thing would help. but it doesn't

a few years ago, when i came out after dinner at la hacienda, my ECV (disney rented) was gone. searched everywhere. CMs called security for us, who told us that the keys are all the same, and anyone can get on your ECV by mistake and take it instead of theirs. Especially as it was dark, it can be hard to see the name.
security searched for us and they found it up in Norway. someone obviously made an error. they brought it to us, fortunately, there was nothing of value in the basket (probably why the person didn't notice the difference).

i agree with the tee shirt on the back seat idea, wish i had thought of it. no one is mistaking that for theirs

I can see how the Disney ECV's (the ones you rent in the parks) would all have the same key, but the outside vendor ECV's should have individual keys...I could be wrong though.

For me, it's not so much an issue of theft (we will be renting from a local, non-Disney company), but a matter of easily locating the ECV when it is parked in a mass of other vehicles. I'm thinking especially about the stroller ghetto outside Buzz Lightyear, but there are others.

I'm a visual learner--seems that it would be easier to "head for the lime green ECV" rather than needing to read every rental tag.

Just wondering if any of you have any other --perhaps better--ideas to make ours stand out.
Oh--and FWIW--I despise balloons--but am OK with glitter.....
