eBay Pins Worth It?

They are so cheap... are they all fakes and counterfeits?

No, but there aren't any particularly "cool" ones either. They're an awesome way to start your collection and just "trade up" from what you get on eBay. I started with a pack of 50, and there were no duplicates and only one fake, which the seller replaced immediately.

So far...so good on obtaining pins on E-bay. I do make it a practice to only buy through well established sellers with flawless feedback.

I purchase from the reputable sellers who let me choose the size of my lot. I use them for trading with Cast Members, and occasionally you find something worth keeping. Had no scrappers in my experiences so I can't complain.

Well in my expierence I collect almost exclusively LE pins so I'm not buying in bulk. However, you buy from someone who has good feed back and you shouldn't have a problem. I haven't at least. A lot of these people selling pins are castmembers who get a discount and can sell them online and make a little profit. Also, take into account, like I said I've never bought one of those package deals of a lot of 100 pins or so... So take that for what it's worth.

Same here. I've only received one bad pin (big scratch across the enamel) and the seller was so embarrassed that they replaced it and refunded my money. They work hard for that good feedback!

I've had good luck with dealing for pins on e-bay. On my last purchase I bought a set of 100 pins, when the package arrived it had only 76 pins. The box hadn't been torn open so I knew none of them had dropped out during mailing. I communicated with the seller, told her that she somehow had miscounted and she apologized and mailed out the missing pins.
Usually out of a set of a hundred I find a few pins that I keep but most of them go to trading in the park.
Lately I have seen a lot of pin sellers selling from China. Dont think I would trust purchase from out of country.

I've gotten many beautiful pins on ebay, many are limited editions &/or retired pins. Many times a "good" seller will show a photo of both the front & back of the pin so you can see the markings and don't forget to check the feedback section.
