Eating in Cinderella's Castle

Hi evryone, I need some advice!

Next summer, I'm going for the very first time to WDW, and I would like to know if eating inside Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom is a good idea (I'd like to make a surprise to my lovely girlfriend). Is the food alright? How much does it cost? Is it worth it? Do I need to book?

Thanks by advance!

Thanks!

Thanks again for your delightful answers! :sohappy:

But you're only talking about the fireworks; what about the parade?

And considering I'll spend only ONE day in the MK (closing 9 pm in August or something like that), at what time should I get dinner? 7 pm?

They suggest that you get to the restaurant about 30-45 mins before your PS so that they can accomodate that request (if they can). We waited maybe an hour or so and got a table right up front (window wise). They had the table decorated and gave us a nice "crown" chocolate dessert and two champagne glasses( YES, real glass :sohappy: ) to take home. It was just the best evening. The fireworks are going to be a little muffled, but they are still loud. They shoot them off from far away, but you will get about the same noise as if you were outside. They dimmed the lights and pipped the music in. It was absolutely fantastic. We went back the next year and took my nephew for his birthday...another great experience. If you are going for a special occasion, make sure to note your reservation. Do the fireworks dinner, you won't be sorry...was tops! :D

PS...You can see the fireworks from the entire restaurant, but I think the better views are the front windows...worth asking for. Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip. I just called WDW Dining and the rep told me that I have to make a request for a window table at the podium when I arrive. I suppose I could have said it was for a special occassion, but that would have been a fib. In any event, others have said you can see the fireworks comfortably from anywhere in the restaurant, so I won't worry about it too much. If we get a window, great; if not, I'm sure it will still be a wonderful experience. Now I'm looking forward to it more than ever!

Just find out what time the fireworks are on the day you'll be there. Arrange it around that.

Regarding Priority Seating Reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table: You can make the reservation 60 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE. I'd suggest doing it as soon as you're able.

A PSR doesn't mean you will get the exact time you request. But, in my experience, I've never had to wait much more than 15 minutes past the time of my reservation. When you call, they'll tell you to arrive five minutes early to check in.

When I made my PSR for CRT, I asked if I could get a table near a window and was told that I would have to make that request at the podium on the day I arrived.

If you make such a request and they try to honor it, you may wind up waiting much longer than if you take the first available table. Also, I would imagine that anyone who gets a window table one hour prior to the fireworks won't be vacating their table until after the show.

On the bright side, a couple kind people here have told me that you can see the fireworks from any table in the restaurant. They dim the lights and pipe in the music and mice are let loose to finish off your table scraps. I can't wait!

(Just kidding about the mice part. ):D

Yes you can, but it all depends what they have available when you are seated as to what you get. We sat in the middle of the window area overlooking fantasy land. Make sure to get reservations early. We did ours for 7pm, with the fireworks at 9pm. That way we were just getting our dessert, or had just gotten it, when the fireworks started. People have become aware of this trick and will sit and stay for the fireworks. So if you want that illusive window seat, plan to be there for a bit. In the end, it is so worth the wait. The food was great and the fireworks with that music, OMG...just memorable!

Your welcome Dopey and good luck... I hope you get the table you want. I have done the fireworks dinner at the CA Grill also, but I think I liked it better at the castle. There is just something about it being right there in the middle of the MK...very nice. Have a great time.
