Eating at the contemporary without a reservation

I wanted to stop by the contemporary and eat at their quick service and then have a couple of drinks at the wave this saturday night. My question is, would I be allowed to park at the contemporary? Or would I have to park at the ttc and take a monorail?

Wouldve loved to eat at chef mickey's but I forgot this is 2011 and you need to book atleast a year in advance if you want any chance at getting a reservation : ( Oh how I miss the days you can walk up to any restaurant in wdw and get a table without making a ressie so far in advance!

You can always get a temporary parking pass at any resort for dining, shopping or just resort exploring! When you go to the security gate, they'll need to see a photo ID. Just let them know you're dining and they'll let you in.

Unless you're going at an extremely busy time of year, you shouldn't have a problem getting a 3-hour parking pass. If you're trying it on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve or July 4th you might be turned away unless you actually have a reservation.

I just searched for dining reservations and found a 7:50p slot at Chef Mickeys for 1/15 if you want to try to grab that.

You should have no problem getting in unless it's a major holiday and the place is packed. Just tell them you are there to eat, shop & check the place out for a future stay.

We have never had a problem getting reservations at Chef Mickey's so just give a call and see what is open, if they don't have one now keep calling every few days and even once you arrive.

Thanks for your replies guys, I actually found the reservation for 7:50 but it was only for 2 ppl not 5.. So we decided to go a different route and try The Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, Cant wait to soak up the atmosphere at the poly!

Well, if you are going to be at Kona Cafe for breakfast, be sure and have the Tonga toast!
I had read so much about it and finally got to try it. It truly does melt in your mouth. Of course, my DH swears by the macadamia nut butter pancakes.....
