Does this mean MSEP is coming back or are they just taunting us all with a homage what they took away and never replaced?

Things like this are usually done by lower tier cast who miss ::fill in the blank thing that should have never been removed”.

Upper management would never even as a taunt.

Agreed.

It was more of a sarcastic rhetorical question. Disney has a history of "paying tribute" to stuff they decided to get rid of which has always puzzled me.

With things like this, I get it. With the collectable merchandise, it's always a bit more confusing.

Still, would be interesting explaining to your child what this thing was that was done before they were born and then trying to come up with an answer when they ask why they got rid of it:
"Well, it had to go back to Disneyland."

"So it's at Disneyland?"

"Well no. It got replaced by another light parade called Paint the Night."

"What did they replace it with here?"

"A new DVC."

"Huh?"

"Nevermind. They replaced it with nothing."

"So Paint the Night is at Disneyland now? What happened to the Electric Parade?"

"Well they actually brought the electric parade back to Disneyland after Paint the Night but then replaced it again with Paint the Night but they don't have a nighttime parade, either now."

... kid has already lost interest and is three eggs down.

Looking forward to getting back to WDW next week for all the Easter/springtime festivities since 2019; it's such a lovely time of year down there.
