East Coast Driving Updates?

Hi All

We're driving down from Charlotte, NC next week and wanted to know if anyone has taken the drive down in the last couple of weeks. How's traffic been? Any issues to worry about. We're likely leaving around 4 or 5 am EST so don't expect much at the start but expecting about half way down it will get pretty busy.

We will probably hit Jacksonville on Saturday morning around 9:00am (ish) hopefully
Sorry late. @Figgy1 just alerted me.
We drove down yesterday. Down 26, 95 then 4. The traffic wasn’t bad coming south. Going north it is awful! Really hope it gets better by next weekend going home. I have never seen so many campers-the huge kind-in my life going up!
Good luck!!

Yes
As someone who lives south of Atlanta but north of Macon, the Spring break traffic has returned to pre Covid levels on I-75. Pack your patience.

Thanks for the update. Yes, going back always seems to take twice as long with all the traffic. We prepare for the worst hoping it may not be that bad when we actually go home.

I believe the amount of those huge Class A type RV’s you saw heading north are the northern Snowbirds heading home from wintering in Florida. I think they typically start heading home April 1st. Hope you had a great time!

Thanks! That’s the same thought we had come up with finally. 😊
