Easiest route from Sanford airport?

We are flying into Sanford this year for the first time in 14 years! Looking at a map, it seems one easy route is to take the I4. Is that the easiest route or should we avoid the interstate? We will be landing at about 1.30pm, so travelling to WDW early afternoon.

We fly into Sanford from Scotland ( don't drive in Florida ) but our transfers always take the 1-4 straight into WDW.I take it that's where your heading..?

Oops..just read again..yes you are heading to WDW..need new specs..

Thanks! Yes, heading to WDW! Will probably take the I-4 then if there is no easier route.

I would not take I-4...we drive from Jacksonville regularly and we take 417 when headed to the World. Although it is a toll road, it typically saves us anywhere from 30-45 minutes.

We've taken this route twice in the last few years and traffic moves just fine. Haven't taken another route so really don't have anything to compare it too though.
