So. Just got back from 4 Nights at POFQ. Have a month before heading back for 3 Nights at the Dolphin for F&W and MNSSHP.
Arrived on Sunday. Room was ready by noon. The Mrs, I, and the two kids spent a few hours at the FQ pool Sunday afternoon before hopping on the Boat to DD. Rain was not really an issue considering Ericka was a looming threat most of the week prior. It did though rain on Sunday and as the boat was approaching Marketplace, the captain made an announcement that boat service would be suspended after we docked. (They seemed to be up and running within about an hour and half).
Did the obligatory stroll through Marketplace hitting the Co-Op, World of Disney, Christmas Store, and Once Upon a Toy before hitting Hole in the Wall (for my ritual Guinness). Sky then opens up and we are forced into the Raglan bar area. Ordered my Guinness and a Cider for the Mrs., while we waited for the rain to subside. Then off to check out Boathouse (for the First Time). Sat on the back dock, with a couple of beers and had the Calamari. Not bad. Will look at a dinning option here soon.
The walk way between Fulton's and Raglan is pretty much walled off (There is a small strip that will allow you to get by - I walked around), I can tell you that in front (or in back - depending on your perspective) of Hole in the Wall, there seems to be a restaurant taking shape. I think it may be the new Fish Camp that was announced a while back. Morimotos looks pretty much done and seems like it will be a nice addition. Next to Boathouse, Jock Lindsey's is pretty much ready as well.
Once finished up at the Boathouse, we made our way down to Cirque area to check things out and then back-tracked for dinner at TREX. The Landry's Select cards are great. You get priority seating and cash-back on your meal. Works for any Landry's including TREX, Rainforest and Yak and Yeti's.
Finishing up we walked back to Marketplace to stroll one more time around WOD and caught the bus back to POFQ. Decided then to walk on over to Riverside and got a nightcap at River Roost (No Yeehaw on Sundays)
Monday we hit AK at rope drop and did the baby swap for EE, before grabbing some snacks at Joffrey's and making our way over to Kilamanjaro. No FP's and the wait was under 10 minutes. Anytime at AK we have to visit the goats. So onward to Rakifis, so I can chase my daughter who in turn spends 20 minutes chasing goats before I spend 20 minutes cleaning her up after she has chased goats. Off to DinoLand we go. Hit Yak and Yeti's at about 12:30 for lunch (Did I mention how great those Landry Select cards are?). Leave the park at about 1:45 back to the hotel.
Out of PO by 3:30 and at the gates of the MK by 3:50. FP for Ariel, Haunted Mansion and Splash. Also hit ISW, Country Bear, and Wedway (I know, but I will always call it Wedway). Grabbed some food at Cosmic Ray's and hit Friar's Nook for me for the Pot Roast Mac and Cheese.
The area around the castle is a lot nicer now and feels a lot roomier. Tried for MSEP but it got rained out of the 8:30 parade which was a little surprising as it only drizzled. Watched Wishes and then headed for the exit.
Tuesday morning, spent some time exploring other resorts. Slept in a bit and grabbed breakfast at Sassagoula. Drove over to AK Lodge so my son and daughter could spend a little time looking out on the Savannah at the animals. Headed over to Old Key West for a light lunch at Olivia's and then over to Saratoga Springs for a bit. Back at the hotel by 3:30. Out of the Hotel by 4:30 and off to FW.
Spent an hour walking around the Settlement Outpost and then over to Mickey's Backyard BBQ.
Wednesday - Hit the MK at Rope Drop. SDMT on the baby swap, and then over to get a Waffle in Liberty Square. Now, for the one time I was dreading this whole trip (which didn't turn out as bad as I expected)...over to the Barber Shop on Main Street to get the kids' haircut. Another trip on ISW and SM, and then over to Thunder Mountain. Left the park at about 2pm
Wednesday night got to Epcot at about 4. No line for SE or Journey so hit those before wandering back to World Showcase. It might be me, but there seems a lot more booths set up for F&W. Got me excited for my trip in October. Hit the UK, back over to Mexico, and began our stroll from there. Food in Mexico, Norway and Japan and a few drinks along the way. Arrived back at PO about 10pm and went over to Scat Cat's for a night cap.
Thursday is check out day. We grabbed breakfast at Sassagoula and were out by 11am. Headed over to WL and then over to the Poly for a Lapu Lapu. Walked around for a bit then time for the hour and a half drive.
Now to begin planning for F&W.
