Good Morning..Just a quickie..I read Mr Ferret on mother thread replying to a answer that early magic hours were on their way out..But I can't find the original post..Is this correct.?..Didn't want to put this thread in the news/rumour in case it starts a riot..
There was rumours about it but nothing has been official and they are still going to be there in Nov when I'm there. :)

If anything it seems like less evening EMH for our trip in two weeks. On our trip in October last year we we were in MK at 1AM one night and DHS until 12AM another....both were sublime!

It would be such a shame if they go! Disney keeps taking away from the resort guest experience instead of adding to it. First the soon-to-be-implemented limit on Fastpasses, which makes the EMH all the more valuable, followed by the diminution of EMH. Are they TRYING to drive us off-site?

I see them just shifting the tools you use to get the same experience. The operating costs for EMH's have to be substantial and I think with the reserved FP+ system guests will still be able to enjoy all their favorite attractions but instead of getting there early or staying late you now will be reserving your favorite attractions for during normal operating times. My family is usually one of the first at rope drop for EMH and regular opening because we like to maximize that time to get done the most popular attractions. Now if I can reserve them and sleep in another hour or so and not be so panicked we aren't going to make it in time and my family still gets to enjoy the same attractions I think we will see more friendly people walking around WDW. I now won't have to leave my family, race across the park, grab Fast Passes, and join back up with them to rush everything. I am one of the people that feels NexGen and FP+ are going to better the guest experience, even if along the way it means having EMH's go to the wayside. I also believe they will allow guests onsite to get more FP+'s or something to that effect so that there is a perk to staying onsite than the guests that stay offsite. Especially if they get rid of EMH's.

Early Morning hours are rarely used by my family. The only exception is Disney's Animal Kingdom.. I enjoy getting there early. Aside from that I, like mentioned above by a few others, like the LMHs more.

my wife and I were told in February of this year they were going to be gone. but we went there for our honeymoon in may and they still had the morning and late extra magic hours.

As I stated in the other thread, when they got rid of the morning hours in 2001-2002, and replaced them with the character caravan to each resort, there was a huge guest uproar and they returned rather quickly. They were gone for just about 12 months.

Personally, I'd rather have them return to them just being early morning hours only for resort guests.
