Early Kona Breakfast?

Anyone who has been to Kona Cafe for breakfast would you say it’s possible to get or MK for early entry if we make an ADR for breakfast opening at Kona? I really want to try Kona for breakfast and whilst I love the Polynesian I can’t bring myself to pay $700/night to stay there. We’re staying at POP and can uber to Poly for breakfast first thing but don’t want to miss out on our MK extra 30 min either.

If Kona opens at 7:30am and MK early entry is 8:30am no I don't think its very doable at all.
You'll want to be at one of the land entrances before early entry officially begins.

Honestly I don't think that even if you mobile ordered Kona that there's be a chance to eat it and get to MK.

I would just hit the QS at Poly if it's Tonga toast you are gunning for. That way you know it will be quick. You can even park and walk to Poly from the transportation center, if it is parking you are worried about.

I would say very doubtful as well. You might make it by 8:45, but that would be pushing it as well, but 9:00 is more likely. Even if you have a 7:30 ADR, so will a lot of other people, and there is no guarantee that you would even be seated by 7:45 or so. Then with ordering, food prep, and eating, and paying the check, you are probably near 8:30 already. Then you need a monorail to MK, as an Uber can only go to the TTC or the Contemporary.

Thanks everyone. Is it even worth going to early entry? Since we are staying at POP we would likely have to skip any sort of breakfast all together if we want to make it to MK for early entry it seems. Maybe iust Uber from POP to Poly, have Kona, browse the Boutiki and then monorail to MK once we are done? I will likely buy Genie+ for our MK day so should be able to at least get a few rides I want.

Not as worth it as the 1 hour EMH but still worth something.
POP's food court opens at 7am.
You could easily get breakfast and then hop on a bus to MK and be there for early entry.
Or you could grab something in the park.
Or you could eat something in your room.
Or you could skip early entry. Its all up to you.

Use the park opening times to your advantage, and schedule a Kona breakfast on the day you visit EPCOT.

Let’s say the day you want your Tonga Toast, MK opens at 9 with an 8:30 early entry. Chances are EPCOT will open at 10 am.

So (if available) schedule, say an 8am seating at Kona, grab a MK bus which will be running thanks to early entry, make your way over to the Poly and when you’re done with your meal, Monorail it over to Epcot. Depending on how long your breakfast goes, you’ll likely make early entry there too!

I really wish some of the breakfast spots would open at 6am. As an early riser, I find myself doing grocery delivery so I can eat my breakfast in the room.

I agree. I would love 6 or 6:30 am. We often take granola bars for breakfast because of the later open with breakfast places. Which for many people 7/7:30 is not that late, but to this early bird it is, hahah!

I decided it wasn't doable for my first day, so I decided to do Brunch with a 10:40 booking. I'll have a light breakfast in my room then to the park, try to get a ride or two in (not 7DMT) then over to Kona. Less stress.

I've got Boma booked for an EPCOT day.

What annoyed me about Pop this past fall was the food court isn’t open until 7 now when it used to be at 6 so you could at least grab coffee and a danish or something if you wanted to get to MK early.
Even though there‘s alternatives to eat/have a coffee, it gave me an excuse to walk around the resort when there’s nobody up yet except for the smokers and joggers.
