Early entry through back entrance

We are staying at the Swan and will be entering Epcot from the back entrance in the World Showcase. Will we have to wait there for entrance or will we be able to walk through the World Showcase and wait at an inside point? That will be a long walk to go fastpass Soarin' if we will be back by France in the World Showcase. :veryconfu

Yes you will be able to walk straight through to Future World for Extra Magic hours. International Gateway opens at the same time the regular entrance does. There are CMs on the bridge guiding you on through to FW. They don't really let you linger in World Showcase, they encourage you to proceed straight through.

Thanks for the info. I looked at a map of the park and really we are not as far as I thought from Soarin'. If we take a left, walk around and take a left past Canada, we will be pretty close to The Land. The front entrance is not that much closer to it. It's been awhile since we've been and I thought we had a much longer walk. I just wasn't sure if they opened at the same time. I wonder if it's as crowded at the Gateway entrance as it is the front entrance, when it opens?

The positioning of the Soarin' building on some maps may mislead you. While the actual building looks closer, you still must walk all the way through the middle of Future World, and go to the main entrance of The Land to get inside. It's not a terribly long way, but it isn't as close as it may appear either.

As to the WS entrance, you may be among the only people there, especially for EMH. The time you will save not waiting in line at the entrance will probably just about even out with the extra minute or two it takes you to get to Soarin', so it should all even out.

Sounds like a great plan, have fun!

You don't necessarily have to go to the middle of future world. You can always take the path to your left after canada that cuts over in front of JIYI. You should do alright since you don't have to wait in line at the main entrance.

Allow me to rephrase : you still have to go through Future World.

If you look at the maps, it can appear that the Soarin' building is accessable from the other side, I was just trying to get across that you still must get to the main entrance of The Land.

In either case, we both agree - the time saved going through the WS entrance will make up for the extra walk, and they should turn out just fine. Thanks for the correction!

Good ! That sounds great ~ we've been to The Land so we should be able to find it OK. So it is INSIDE the Land, and not a separate building - good to know. Did it take the place of another attraction that was in the Land?
I'm glad the entrance won't be as crowded as the main entrance. I sort of get anxious while waiting at the gate with everyone crowded up getting ready to go in.

Bag check and entry turnstyles will be much more relaxed over there compared to what they are on any given day at the other entrance.

You enter through the main The Land entrance, go down to the bottom floor, and then enter a LONG hall way which you walk to the building next door. Soarin' is housed in a building adjacent to The Land, but the original "Listening to the Land" boat ride is still there. The only thing removed if I recall was the small show that used to be in a theater there ("Food Rocks", right?).

If they are on, grab a FP, then get in the regular line - ride, then do the boat ride, grab a snack (really yummy non-fast food quick service there), and then it will be time for your FP. That way you get two rides in - usually works pretty well, you can have the whole pavilion done by 10:15-30.

Ah yes, "veggie, veggie, fruit, fruit" ! I remember it well.

Thanks for the great advice. We now have our Epcot plan ! Hopefully, if all works out, we can ride Soarin' twice while we are there.
