Im going down to Florida for a week in august this year and because were staying at a disney, we are eligable for the early entry to the parks.

I want to know if going one hour earlier is worth waiting longer during the rest of the day.

Also i've heard that on EE days the parks are packed.

what do u guys suggest?

It's totally worth it.........its not like you pay for it so how could it not be worth it? Way less crowded and ya get on which ever rides are open really fast.

If you want to take advantage of EE, I would suggest the following. Go to the park that is participating in EE and stay there until about an hour after official opening. By that time, the park will be fairly crowded. So then head over to one of the other parks and stay there for the rest of the day.

Great tip, that is exactly what I do

but the thing is that we plan to stay the whole day so it gets crowded so i dont know if its worth waiting in line for more time after the rest of the park opens.

I dont understand what youre gettin at.....How could early entry be a bad thing? You get in early and have less crowds.....Either way you plan on staying in the park all day.....you just get in earlier and get on to attractions faster until the crowd pics up..

I have to agree with disneynut and Seano, you don't want to be in the park for very long after the official opening on an early entry day. We generally go to any park that doesn't open early on a given day. If you get to a given park about 1/2 hour before the official opening time you can easily get to the roped off area before they open. Since most people don't seem to get up any too early you will find that you can do some of the E-Ticket rides (or any of your other favorites) with little or no wait.:)

Yep it is...
Fantasyland Attractions are Mad Tea Party, It's a Small World, Snow White's Adventure, Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, Dumbo, Peter Pan.

Tomorrowland Attractions are Astro Orbiter, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Alien Encounter, Tomorrowland Speedway, and the Tomorrowland Video Aracde.

early entry

I think early entry was worth it the first couple of years after it started. When we go to disney, if we stay on the grounds, we only use early entry for a few hours. If you stay in a early entry park all day, it is definitely more crowded than the other parks. When we are off grounds, we avoid the early entry parks like the plague. All of the parks have early entry except Animal Kingdom. MGM has the most open for early entry. If you are going late enough in August, attendance drops somewhat and early entry may work better.

Early Entry is good, but if you can manage an E-ride night at the Magic Kingdom during your trip--definitely worth the $12. They keep the park open 3 extra hours for you (for us it was more like 4) and you ride all the good rider, over and over again with no lines. Also, Mickey and Minnie sit in from on the castle for pictures with little or no wait. Also a great time to get those pics with no people walking in front of you!

One word of advice on early entry, get to the bus early as well. Resort buses can get quite crowded for the EE park.

It's definitly worth it, especially if your smart with fast pass.

However it's true that the park can get crowded a couple hours after regular opening time. But you can have the best attractions covered before the big crowds hit.

Another word of advice...don't do early entry if you were out late the night before. I know from past experiences that it really isn't a good idea to skimp on sleep in WDW. I personally like E Ticket better, but if you're an early-bird you might like it.
