Hi,
What they will do is: If your room isnt ready they will give you room key/admission ticket and send you off into the parks or wherever until your room is ready. They will store your luggage. If your room is ready then they will give you your room number with key/admission and let you go in. Once out of 7 trips my room was ready before 3pm.

Hey
Disney is usually good with getting rooms ready at the time given. When I stayed at the Boardwalk, they gave us a number to call and check if the room was ready, and it was prompt at 4:00 pm(we stayed in the Villas)

As far as Upgrades. I never get em
We usually book the highest room level there is anyways(Last month we were in the Contemp Tower Club)

We've had lots of good luck checking in early at Port Orleans - twice they upgraded our room because the standard room wasn't ready for check-in, but the next one "up" was. This was in April, too, during the Easter break!

did you have a 7 seas or a bay lake view. what floor is the tower club on?is the tower club worth the price. we're thinking about it for next year. this year we have a reservation for a lagoon view at the Poly and want to get an upgrade to lagoon concierge. we got up graded to a concierge at the grand floridian and it was great but i dont think i'd like to pay for it. I'm not a cheapskate, but I like a good bargain.

We usually get there early and check-in. This way we get the first rooms, it also gives us time to walk around the resort. Last time at AKL, we got there at 9 in the morning, cuz we drove straight through instead of stopping, and we got our room at 12. It all depends.

I awalys love the Bay Lake View because it is super super quiet in the morning, they let you specify what view you want when you check in. I had to get the Seven Seas/MK view this time because the Bay Lake rooms were not going to be ready until 3, and the MK views were already ready, we didnt want to wait because we were already super tired from getting up at 3am for a 7am flight with 430am airport pickups. The Tower Club is on the 12th floor.

Only one of our last 8 trips was our room not ready when we got to the resort. That was at Coronado. We checked in around 2pm. They told us to come back at 3 so we just walked around the resort for an hour, but the room still wasn't ready. They told us 5pm. I think we wound up heading over to DTD.

Every other resort we've stayed at (including Poly Dec 2001) we've been able to get into the room right away. Our last trip we were unpacking at 11:45am after leaving Detroit at 7:00 am. Not bad. :D
