Early Check-in Question

This June we are spending two days at Universal before going to Disney. Our plan is to check out of the Universal hotel early in the morning and take a cab to Port Orleans Riverside. We are hoping we will be able to check in, get our tickets, and head over to HS no later than noon. I know usual check-in times are later in the afternoon and I realize our rooms probably won't be ready early, but will there be a problem with droping off our luggage and getting our tickets? (Normally we take the ME from the airport so of course we don't have to worry about our luggage.)

Btw- I've checked in at 7am and had my room ready. I made sure my estimated check in time was listed early like that. I knew they'd let me check in that early, but boy was I shocked that my room was also ready. Different WDW resort, but still- if they can do it...so can the others.:)

i have been to the resort as early as about 6:30 to check in and get tickets. we dont even unpack car, we just either drive to the first park or leave car and hop on a bus! cant wait to get started! no problem checking in early.

Do on line check in and they will know you are coming early and may give you a room that was empty the night before. We already had our room ready at 7am lots of times doing that.

The earliest they can guarantee you can check-in (or pre-register, in Disney-speak) is 7am. Earlier is possible, but not guaranteed.
