Dwarve's Mine Train on Everest

Lately I've seen some low wait times on Everest which is great. But, I can't help wonder if the thrill is gone due to the busted Yeti in "D" mode (that's Disco). Which then made me look at the Dwave's Mine train..It get's rediculous wait times all for one reason...The swaying...So I'm wondering, could a mine train style be a better if they added it to Everest to bring the busted thrill back to it?

Because it's still new.

This is the major reason.

There's other factors at play that impact the wait times for the ride: Everest loads very quickly and has great hourly put through which helps keep the line from getting too long. Also, there's a sizeable difference in attendance between MK and DAK -- that would likely lead to much higher demand to ride 7DMT in a day. And, lastly, more people are able to ride 7DMT than EE, due to both differences in height restrictions as well as 7DMT being easier to tolerate because it is less thrilling. My father, for example, can ride 7DMT but won't do EE.

You hit the nail on the head. The "intense" nature of Everest prevents all of my family from riding except me. However, they rode the mine train with no problem (although they didn't feel the need to repeat the ride). I think if Everest had swaying cars it would add to the attraction, but that would probably mean no tight turns and a decrease in speed. While I hate that the Yeti doesn't move like it was advertised to do, if I never knew it was supposed to do anything, the Yeti wouldn't bother me at all.

It doesn't sway very much. I don't think the long wait times are because of the swaying.
Yes, the sway is def not what sells it. But it does make for an enjoyable ride and it is a cool and innovative idea. I find that for me the swaying tends to put the g forces down on you and kinda make you push down in your seat as opposed to being flung side to side like EE or Big Thunder. Plus there is the smooth and quiet ride factor well. I'm still amazed when I watch it from the outside as it glides past oh so quiet, with the occasional screams of joy.

I think the long wait times are because it's a really enjoyable ride and it draws a ton of attention by being the centerpiece of Fantasyland. As soon as you see it, you want to know what it is and you want to ride it. It's a really fun ride, the dark ride elements are fantastic, and it has just a touch of thrill to shake things up from your average dark ride.
